The ma or expense of the <br />Friends was rent, with payments beginning in July, 1991. <br />The monthly rent (1,9=9) was paid on behalf of the Friends <br />directly to the landlord froth the monies accumulated in the <br />fund through December 1991. <br />In October 1991, the County Manager was informed by the <br />Friends of their ability to administrate the funds which were <br />being held by the County. I have attached a ropy of <br />correspondence from Mr. Robert Seymour. '),,wring the following <br />month, several issues involving transfer of the funds were <br />resolved and the Friends were issued a payment for their <br />remaining funds. Upon issuance of the check, the Friends <br />were informed of t;'ce County's intent to bill them for their <br />share of the monthly rent. <br />In February, 1992 the Friends were billed for two months. rent <br />(Jan. and Feb.). Subseauent to the billing, concerns were <br />expressed by representatives of the Friends regarding the <br />monthly* rent being billed. Awaiting resolution of the rent <br />question, I have not submitted any rental bills to the <br />Friends since February. As of Friday, May 29, the County <br />will have raid all rent due on the Center through June 1992. <br />Of the total annual rent paid by the county, $11,754 is <br />currently due from the Friends. <br />Please contact me if you. have any auestions. <br />109 COURT STREET • P.O.
