Revere Road <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />Re: Orange County Inventory, Phase II <br />Grant Amount: $ 17,000 <br />Dear Mr. Collins: <br />3 <br />Patric Dorsey, Secretary <br />Thank you for your application for 1992 grant funds made available to the State <br />Historic Preservation Office (HPO) of the North Carolina Division of Archives <br />and History. These funds come from the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF) <br />administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service <br />(NPS). A total of sixteen grant applications were received from eligible <br />applicants, requesting $113,650 in matching federal assistance. <br />Your application is one of seven that have been selected from the group of <br />excellent proposals for possible funding. Among the factors considered in the <br />evaluation of potential projects were the character of the resources to be <br />studied, the number of work products in relation to the amount of money <br />invested, and degree and quality of support (administrative and financial) <br />provided by the applicant. <br />The enclosed Project Notification, approved by the National Park Service, is a <br />brief report of anticipated project activities and costs based on your grant <br />application. A more detailed project description will be developed after your <br />review of the Project Notification, acceptance- -of the grant and certification <br />of matching funds. To convey your agreement with the enclosed project outline <br />and grant award, please sign both copies of the enclosed Memorandum of <br />Agreement (MOA) and return them with your Certification of Matching Funds by <br />May 31 to: Ms. Lloyd D.
