MEMORANDUM <br />To: BBCC <br />From: Alice Gordon kK V <br />Subject: Support of H916, a hill related to the distribution of local <br />revenues <br />Gate: May 19, 1991 <br />I would like to add to the agenda an item related to H916 <br />introduced by Rep. Ann Barnes. The bill is apparently in the House <br />Appropriations Committee now- I suggest that the BOCC go on record in <br />support of this bill and direct the chair to send a letter to the appropriate <br />legislators i n support of this action_ This item could be included after <br />item IVC (NCACC Annual Conference Resolutions) although it would be less <br />formal than a resolution. <br />H916 is a bill "to provide that distributions and reimbursements to <br />local governments shall be provided by earmarking rather than by <br />appropriation and to remove the cap on these distributions and <br />reimbursements that was adopted in 1991." Please refer to the May 6 <br />Legislative Alert from NCACC for further information. <br />
