2 <br />developed residential property between Red Wolf and <br />Mt. Sinai Road. Thomasina Road exists as a private <br />drive serving two or three residences which are <br />located in close proximity to the right -of -way, with <br />some accessory structures partially in the right -of- <br />way. Another stub out at Twin Pines Lane to the south <br />was previously dedicated to Orange County with the <br />approval of Piney Mountain. The stub out will provide <br />an additional outlet when adjacent property develops. <br />The open space on the south side of Pine Cone Lane <br />will be divided between the Piney Mountain Homeowners <br />Association and North State Utilities to: (1) provide <br />a connection to the open space system in Piney <br />Mountain for the residents of Red Wolf; and (2) add <br />more usable area to the nitrification field used in <br />Piney Mountain Phase 2. <br />Agency review comments were solicited and received as <br />follows: <br />Agency Comment Received <br />Town of Chapel Hill 2/27/92 <br />Town of Ca=rboro 3/11/92 <br />Soil & Water Conservation 3/11/92 <br />Erosion Control 3/16/92 <br />and 3/24/92 <br />The Planning Board reviewed the Preliminary Plan for <br />Red Wolf on April 20 and recommended approval with a <br />public road according to the Resolution of Approval. <br />RECOMlENDATION: The Administration recommends approval of the <br />Preliminary Plan for Red Wolf at Piney Mountain with a <br />public road built to State standards and subject to <br />the conditions contained in the Resolution of <br />Approval. <br />
