It is presumed that since <br />more land is available, the accessory structure could be located <br />even farther from adjoining properties. Also, there is potential <br />for the accessory building to be larger. In many cases, however, <br />the accessory building is less than 1000 square feet. The home - <br />occupation building envelope may be significantly smaller for a <br />4.7 -acre lot than for a 4.5 -acre lot, even if all other factors <br />are equal. This is illustrated in the following example. <br />An applicant wishes to operate an accounting service in a <br />400 square foot accessory building. The residence is in the <br />center of a lot which is heavily wooded on the south and <br />west sides. The septic tank and drainfield are located to <br />the rear of the house. In Figure a), the lot contains 4.5 <br />acres. Figure b) assumes a lot size of 4.7 acres.
