utilities commission. <br />subsequent meeting. <br />This report will be presented at a <br />2 <br />Regarding systems governed by DEM, the health departments MAMA <br />program does propose a review frequency to improve the <br />surveillance of these systems in Orange county. Authorization to <br />do so would be granted through an agreement with DEM which has <br />been accomplished in other counties. <br />The health department MAMA program proposes that all program costs <br />be recovered on the basis of a fee structure. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Commissioners review the <br />enclosed data and decide: <br />1) whether to support the Board of Health's designation of <br />the health department as management entity for Type IV <br />systems. <br />2) To direct the staff to develop projected costs and a fee <br />schedule necessary to fully fund the monitoring and . <br />maintenance assurance program in the context of the FY <br />92 -93 budget ordinance. <br />3) To direct the staff to develop a draft agreement with <br />DEM for the review of systems approved by DEM, which <br />will be considered in conjunction with the county <br />engineers report. <br />
