State <br />Clearinghouse concerning the proposed widening of NC <br />86 (Airport Road) from Homestead Road to I -40. NCDOT <br />is requesting, through the State Clearinghouse, <br />information which would be helpful, in identifying <br />potential environmental impacts. While the memo lists <br />April 15 as the cut -off date for comments, Christa <br />Atkins informed staff by phone that comments will be <br />accepted through the end of April. <br />The memo has been circulated among Orange County staff <br />and will be considered by the Planning Board at their <br />long -range meeting on April 14, 1992. Copies have <br />also been sent to the Planning Board's Transportation <br />Advisory subcommittee (TAS). The only comment <br />received thus far is the attached memo from Warren <br />Faircloth, Orange County Erosion Control Supervisor. <br />Other comments received before meeting time on April <br />21 will be delivered to the meeting for distribution. <br />RECOMMENDATION: As the Board decides. <br />DK9:86WIDNCC.DOC <br />
