B. IMPLEMENTATION <br />1. One -Year Action Plans. <br />a. Orange County. Carrboro. Hillsborough <br />(1) <br />With assistance from the Town of Chapel Hill and Orange <br />County, the Culbreth Park Community Development <br />Corporation will complete Culbreth Park homeownership <br />project in Chapel Hill, a total of 30 second mortgages to <br />qualifying homebuyers in the project. (Assistance received <br />from Orange County, the Town of Chapel Hill, and the N.C. <br />Housing Finance Agency.) <br />(2) <br />InterFaith Council and Orange Community Housing Corporation <br />will apply for funding for a 6 -9 unit transitional project for <br />homeless persons under HUD's McKinney Act Transitional <br />Housing Program, location not yet determined. <br />(3) <br />The Town of Carrboro, through the NCHFA Rental <br />Rehabilitation Program, will provide funds to rehabilitate 10 <br />rental units in Carrboro. <br />(4) <br />Orange Congregations in Mission, working with Orange <br />Community Housing Corporation and M.B. Corporation, will <br />work to obtain funding for 35 -unit rental development in <br />Hillsborough. <br />(5) <br />All local governments will participate in continued operation of <br />Orange Community Housing Corporation, including project <br />support as funds are available. <br />b. Town of Chapel Hill <br />(1) With assistance from the Town of Chapel Hill and Orange <br />County, the Culbreth Park Community Development <br />Corporation will complete Culbreth Park homeownership <br />project in Chapel Hill, a total of 30 second mortgages to <br />qualifying homebuyers in the project. <br />(2) The Town of Chapel Hill Housing and Community Development <br />Department will complete 24 new public housing units in <br />Chapel Hill, located on Highway 86 North. <br />(3) Mental Health Association in Orange County, with assistance <br />from Orange Community Housing Corporation and Mental <br />Health Association in North Carolina, will work to obtain funding <br />for 14 -unit rental development for persons with mental illness <br />located in Chapel Hill. <br />(4) New Covenant United Church will work to obtain funding for <br />50 -unit elderly rental development located in Chapel Hill under <br />HUD's Section 202 program. <br />I:t~7 <br />
