The pyrotechnics proposed for use at the concert <br />are included with this abstract. <br />GS 14 -413 empowers the Commissioners to authorize and issue permits for <br />the use of pyrotechnics in connection with "...shows of all <br />descriptions ... but only after satisfactory evidence is Produced <br />effect that said pyrotechnics will be used for the aforementioneda the <br />Purposes and none other ". <br />County policy further requires assurance from the sponsoring agency <br />that adequate public safety measures will be exercised; and that the <br />County will be protected as an additional insured on the insurance <br />policy /policies covering the event. <br />Documents attached provide evidence that these criteria have been met. <br />
