i4 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS AUTHORIZING <br />THE TRANSFER OF SURPLUS PROPERTY <br />TO THE ORANGE COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, Orange County acquired the following identified <br />properties by tax foreclosure (hereinafter "the parcels of <br />property "): <br />Parcel I: Tax Parcel 7.100.C.10 <br />Parcel II: Tax Parcel 7.100.C.10A <br />Parcel III: Tax Parcel 7.91.H.7 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that <br />the parcels of property are surplus property; and <br />WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity of Orange County and the Knolls. <br />Neighborhood Development Association (which Association consists <br />of property owners in the community where the parcels of property <br />are located) has requested that steps be taken to make the parcels <br />of property available for low cost housing; and <br />WHEREAS, the Orange County Housing Authority has the authority <br />to provide dwelling accommodations for persons of low income and <br />has the authority to accept ownership of property to accomplish <br />that purpose; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that <br />the use of the parcels of property to provide dwelling <br />accommodations for persons of low income is appropriate. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED pursuant to North Carolina <br />General Statutes § §157 -42, 16OA -267 and 160A -274: <br />3 <br />
