NC 27611 -5201 <br />Dear Mr. Marley: <br />The Board of Commissioners of Orange County wishes to indicate <br />support for the Town of Hillsborough in its request to meet with <br />members of your staff with regard to the issues of the closure of the <br />Old NC 10 bridge near Efland. NC and the provision of permanent best <br />management practices for the protection of water quality in Seven Mile <br />Creek. The County Commissioners have been concerned with these issues <br />for quite some time. as evidenced by a formal resolution adopted by the <br />Board on March 5. 1990, and forwarded to Mr. L. Jack Ward of NCDOT on <br />March 26, 1990. As of this date. the Orange County Board of <br />Commissioners has not been convinced that NCDOT has sufficiently <br />addressed the issues raised by the Town of Hillsborough recently or by <br />Orange County in 1990.
