In that letter I stated that the City Councils of both Graham and
Mebane were scheduled to meet on November 4, 1991. They both did meet on the
evening of that day and both City Councils approved the "Agreement" between
Graham, Mebane, and Orange - Alamance Water System, Inc. You will recall that I
had enclosed a copy of that "Agreement" in my letter of October 29th.
I am now enclosing three (3) fully executed copies of the "Agreement ". You
will note that Graham and Mebane agree to sell water to Orange - Alamance Water
System, Inc., and we agree to abandon any interest that we may have in the
development of a raw water reservoir on Haw Creek.
We now therefore respectfully request that the Haw Creek watershed no longer be
protected as a future potable water supply source for Orange - Alamance Water
System, Inc.
Sincerely,
ORANGE- AIANANCE WR'I'ER SY INC.
rner J.
