NORTH CAROLINA <br />RESOLUTION <br />ORANGE COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Transportation con- <br />templates realigning the right of way of and paving Ena <br />Mountain Road, which road is located south of the Town <br />of Hillsborough, and <br />WHEREAS, Orange County supports this project provided the new <br />right of way'of Eno Mountain Road follows the right o <br />way of that road from the point southwest of the Eno <br />River to. its intersection with Orange Grove Road <br />deoicted on the Hillsborough Thoroughfare flan adopted <br />by the Town of Hillsborough on September 21, 1987 and <br />by the North Carolina Department of Transportation on <br />October Q, 1987 (t-he Hillsborough Thoroughfare Plan, a <br />copy of which is attached to this Resolution_ and made a <br />Part of it), and <br />WHEREAS, Orange County has been asked by the North Carolina <br />Department of Transportation to express its intention <br />to request the North Carolina Department of Transporta- <br />tion to abandon whatever portions of the existing right <br />of way of Eno Mountain Road that will no longer. be a <br />part of the new right of way of that road. <br />NOW,, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by Orange County that it will, <br />pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes Section 136 -63, <br />request the North Carolina Department of Transportation to aban- <br />don -so much of the existing right of way of Eno Mountain Road as <br />'is "; " longer or .; wilh'. no`_'longer be part • of that road upon -'its <br />
