The 1992 BOCC Goal Statement has revised the water resource study process outlined in the 1991 BOCC goal statement by including a new objective. This new objective provides for a citizen study committee which is intended to investigate the quality and quantity of the County's ground and surface water resources by gathering existing water resource information, determining the effectiveness of existing water resource protection and management programs, identifying problem areas. prioritizing the efforts to gain more information to address perceived problem areas and recommending to the BOCC a process for implementing future water resource study or other activities required to address existing or potential water resource problems. RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends establishment of the committee and the review and adoption of the attached documents.
