6 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING A CABLE TELEVISION <br />FRANCHISE TO PRIME CABLE INCOME PARTNERS L.P. <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH <br />CAROLINA ORDAINS: <br />Prime Cable Income Partners L.P. currently holds a non - exclusive franchise to <br />construct, operate and maintain a cable television system in the unincorporated areas of <br />Orange County and operates a cable system in the county under the name "Carolina <br />Cable ". The franchise permits service in all areas of the county and requires service in <br />all areas of the county meeting the residential density requirements specified in the <br />original Village Cable proposal that was incorporated in Section IX of the franchise. <br />The area in western Orange County along the Alamance County line outlined on the <br />map attached as Exhibit "A" and identified on the map as "Secondary Service Area" is <br />not served by Carolina Cable. The area does not meet the residential density <br />requirement that would make service mandatory and is not expected to do so in the <br />foreseeable future. Carolina Cable has requested that its franchise be amended to <br />delete the area identified on the map as "Secondary Service Area" from its franchise <br />area. <br />In accordance with Section IIc. of the Orange County Cable Television System <br />Ordinance and Section IX of the franchise ordinance, the franchise is amended to <br />create a delineated franchise area as shown on the map attached as Exhibit "A ". The <br />franchise area shall include all unincorporated areas in Orange County except the area <br />shown on the map as "Secondary Service Area" and more precisely defined in the <br />Description Of Secondary Service Area attached as Exhibit "B ". <br />
