2 <br />The County Manager and County Attorney have negotiated with <br />ATC to provide free installation of "primestar" satellite <br />system (information on primestar is under separation cover) <br />in lieu of future cable service to the proposed buffer zone. <br />The density in the buffer zone is extremely low and extension <br />of cable to this area is unlikely in the foreseeable future. <br />3COMMENDATION(S): Manager proposes that the Board approve the transfer of <br />the cable TV franchise from Carolina Cable to ATC with the <br />condition that'ATC provide free installation of primestar <br />satellite system to residents in the buffer zone at the <br />March 24, 1992 Commissioners' meeting. Instruct County <br />Attorney to prepare cable TV franchise amendment in final <br />form for the March 24, 1992 Commissioners' meeting. <br />
