C. <br />D. <br />2. <br />3. <br />407 <br />[This provision is not required by the General Statutes <br />but is intended to provide a means for farm owners to <br />participate Board appointments.] <br />f. Two (2) of the three (3) non -farm members of the Board <br />shall be "municipal representatives," while the other <br />shall be a member of the "development community." <br />[When a proposed PDR program was presented to the Board <br />of Commissioners in June, 1991, the Commissioners <br />indicated that municipal representation should be <br />provided on the Agricultural Districts Advisory Board. <br />The proposed addition of a member from the development <br />community is intended to provide a liaison between the <br />Advisory Board and that group.] <br />Tenure <br />Each member shall serve a term of four (4) years, except that <br />the initial Board is to consist of three (3) appointees for <br />terms of two (2) years, three (3) appointees for terms of <br />three (3) years, and three (3) appointees for terms of four <br />(4) years. Thereafter, all appointments are to be for terms <br />of four (4) years, with reappointments permitted. <br />[There is no General Statute requirement concerning terms of <br />appointment. The terms proposed above are consistent with <br />those of other advisory boards.] <br />vacancies <br />Any vacancy on the Board is to be filled for the remainder of <br />the unexpired term. The member filling the vacancy shall come <br />when possible from the same District, township, municipal or <br />development community seat as the member whose vacant seat <br />he /she is filling. <br />[Again, there is no General Statute requirement concerning the <br />manner in which vacancies are filled. The above provisions are <br />consistent with those of other advisory boards.] <br />The Board shall develop procedures for the conduct of its meetings, <br />which procedures shall be consistent with Robert's Rules of Order. <br />[There is no General Statute requirement pertaining to this <br />provision.
