At this point, $391,371 has been appropriated in the <br />school system's budget for completion of this project. After OCS <br />receives its 1992 -93 appropriation of $1,173,807 for pay -as- you -go <br />capital funds in the County's 1992 -93 budget, it will have sufficient <br />funds to pay for the entire project. However, since these funds have <br />not yet been appropriated to OCS, NCGS 115C -441 requires that before <br />OCS can enter into a continuing contract, it must obtain a binding <br />resolution from the Orange County Board of Commissioners that assures <br />sufficient funds will be available to fulfill the contract in future <br />years. <br />OCS requires $1,297,091 IN 1992 -93 to meet the terms of the proposed <br />contract for work at OHS. The 1992 --93 planned appropriation of <br />$1,173,807, in addition to prior year funds already provided to OCS, <br />will be sufficient to cover the terms of the contract. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the <br />attached resolution authorizing the Orange County Schools to enter into <br />a continuing contract for replacement of windows, addition of air <br />conditioning, and modification of the heating system at Orange High <br />School. <br />
