6 <br />GRANT PRE - APPLICATION Page 3 <br />PROTECT GOAL, OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES <br />Begin below, add continuation page(s) if necessary. <br />Project Goal - Long term outcome or results <br />To provide more adequate services for victims of sexual violence in <br />Orange County, <br />Project Objective(s) - Short term measurable results: <br />1. To provide support services for 260 families per year in the Friday <br />morning Child Medical Evaluation Clinic at UNC Hospitals, <br />2. To offer 2 support groups for adolescent victims of child sexual abuse. <br />3. To provide 3 trainings for local therapists on working with victims of <br />sexual violence. <br />4. To recruit at least 20 volunteers to work with families in the Child <br />Medical Evaluation Clinic, <br />Project Activities - Day -to -day project activities in measurable terms: <br />a. Provide a 20 -hour training for Clinic volunteers twice during the <br />year. <br />b. Have at least one trained volunteer available every Friday at the <br />Child Medical Evaluation Clinic at UNC Hospitals (after the first <br />training of Clinic volunteers). <br />c. Supervise the Clinic volunteers by weekly phone or in- person <br />contacts and review of written reports. <br />d. Recruit 2 facilitators for each adolescent support group. Provide <br />staff supervision and, training as necessary. <br />e. Advertise the formation of the adolescent support groups at least 60 <br />days in advance. <br />f. Recruit trainers as necessary for the 3 trainings for local mental <br />health providers, <br />g. Advertise the mental health provider trainings to local clinicians at <br />least 30 days in advance. <br />h. Evaluate each support group and each training of mental health <br />providers. <br />i. Supervise Special Projects Coordinator via weekly review of annual <br />work plan progress to meet objectives 1 -4 above and individual <br />consultations as necessary. <br />To assist you in completing this section please refer to the instructions <br />
