The County <br />has served as grantee of VOCA grants on behalf of the Rape <br />Crisis Center and other county departments in the past. The <br />Rape Crisis Center successfully completed previously funded <br />projects. <br />The Rape Crisis Center request funds 1) to provide direct <br />services for primary and secondary victims of child abuse in <br />the Child Medical Evaluation Clinic of UNC Hospitals; 2) to <br />provide support groups for adolescent victims of child abuse; <br />and 3) to provide training for local therapists who work with <br />victims and survivors of sexual violence. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): Authorize the County Manager to sign the VOCA grant <br />pre - application for the Orange County Rape Crisis <br />Center. <br />
