METHODOLOGY <br />Johnston Zabor & Associates conducted 401 telephone interviews with <br />eP registered � stered voters of <br />Orange County. Telephone numbers were dialed randomly from the Chapel Hill and <br />Hillsborough phone books. <br />In an effort to approximate the voter registration by school district, 281 interviews were <br />completed with residents of the Chapel Hill/Carrboro School District. All interviews took place in the evenings between January 13 and <br />January 20, 1992. <br />The caller to supervisor ratio averaged 2.6 to 1. Approximately ten percent of the interviews <br />were monitored by a supervisor. All questionnaires were checked for completeness and <br />accuracy by Johnston, Zabor & Associates' field supervisors. Incomplete questionnaires <br />were returned to the callers for callbacks. <br />All questionnaires were keypunched twice to insure accuracy. <br />2 • <br />
