Television is the next most often mentioned <br />source at nine percent, followed by "teacher /school staff at seven percent and <br />"students/children " and "parents/friends" at six percent each, <br />"Building new facilities and renovating existing ones" is considered very important by <br />almost three- fourths of the respondents (71.2 %), with women rating it "very <br />important" more often than men (80.2% vs. 68.3%). Overall, only four percent rated <br />this "rot very important." <br />II. Rating of School Facilities <br />Rcsidelts of the Chapel Hilvearrboro School district rate the facilities of the two <br />districts slightly higher than the residents of the Orange County district. On a scale <br />of one to four, they give the Orange County facilities a mean score of 2.7 and the <br />Chapel Hill /Carrboro facilities a mean score of 3.2. Orange County district residents <br />give means scores of 3.1 for Chapel Hill/Carrboro and 2.6 for Orange County. <br />
