29 <br />4 <br />RESOLUTION A <br />Manager's Recommendation <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING NEW HOPE CORRIDOR OPEN SPACE MASTER PLAN AS <br />A COMPONENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE TOWN OF CHAPEL HILL <br />(91- 11- 25/R -9. la) <br />WHEREAS, the Council on September 25, 1989. expressed its intent to <br />preserve open space connecting new Hope Creek with the Eno River <br />through Orange and Durham Counties; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council has participated with orange County, Durham <br />County and the City of Durham in funding and carrying out this <br />study; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel <br />Hill that the Council adopts the report of the New Hope Advisory <br />Committee, New-Hope Corridor Open Space Master Elam as a component <br />of the Comprehensive Plan of the Town of Chapel Hill. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council recommends to Orange County <br />that the Joint Planning Area Land Use Plan be amended to <br />incorporate the New Hone Corridor-Open-Space Mastr_Pla13. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council requests the Chapel Hill <br />Greenways Commission to take responsibility for ongoing attention <br />to the Plan., and for monitoring progress on Chapel Hill's <br />components of the Plan. <br />This the 25th day of November, 1991. <br />
