Historic Preservation Office (HPO) has <br />announced the application period for 1992 Survey and <br />Planning Grant Funds. Eligible projects include <br />architectural and archaeological surveys, <br />preparation of nominations to the National Register <br />of Historic Places, and preservation plans. <br />This year, an estimated $120,500 is available for <br />survey and planning grants to communities or <br />nonprofit organizations. Of the total amount, <br />$68,000.is reserved for grants in communities that <br />participate in the Certified Local Government (CLG) <br />program. The remaining communities, including Orange <br />County, may apply for grants from the remaining <br />$52,500. <br />Grant applications must be <br />to the HPO by January 31, <br />awarded in May, 1992, and <br />June, 1992.
