DisciplinarX Suspension Without Pa 3r* <br />Old a. An employee may receive a disciplinary suspension without <br />4.5.1, pay based on work performance or personal conduct. For <br />4.5.5 work performance, a disciplinary suspension without pay <br />and may be given in conjunction with a Final Written Warning <br />4.5.6 and only after an Oral Warning and a First Written <br />Warning, except as provided in Article IX, Section 4.5.1. <br />New b. Before a Permanent employee may be given a disciplinary <br />_ suspension without pay, the same process as that specified <br />in Item 4a through 4g must occur. <br />6. Demotion* <br />Old a. An employee may be demoted on the basis of work <br />4.6 performance or personal conduct. For work performance, an <br />revised employee may be demoted only after an Oral Warning and a <br />First Written Warning, except as provided in Article IX, <br />Section 4.5.1. For serious misconduct, an employee may <br />demoted without any prior warning. <br />New b. Before a Permanent employee may be demoted for <br />disciplinary reasons, the same process as that specified <br />in Item 4a through 4g must occur. <br />New c. The employee's salary is handled as provided under <br />the Personnel Ordinance for a demotion. <br />*See Article IX, Section 4.7.4. <br />
