Although grant <br />approval is not expected for another 30 -60 days, the Department will begin <br />the contracting process with final execution to occur following FTA <br />approval of the grant. The County of Orange has been awarded capital <br />funding for a total of $67,455, of which $47,218 is Section 18 funds, <br />$10,118 is state fiords and $10,119 is local funds. <br />We have enclosed three (3) originals of the project agreement to be <br />executed between the County of Orange and the North Carolina Department <br />of Transportation. The attached resolution authorizes the Chairman of <br />the Orange County Board of Commissioners to enter into the agreement on <br />behalf of your agency. Please sign each copy of the agreement and have <br />your signature attested. If your agency has an official seal, each <br />agreement should be stamped with the seal. DO NOT DATE THE AGREEMENTS; <br />this will be done when they are executed in final form by the Department. <br />Please return all copies of the agreement. An executed copy will be <br />returned to you. <br />For purposes of completing the project application, the County of <br />Orange has previously agreed to the terms and conditions set forth in the <br />Special Section 13(c) Warranty Agreement. As the language of the Warranty <br />indicated, the Warranty has been included in Appendix B and referenced in <br />Section 21 of the project agreement.
