To report on the proposed revision to the <br />Disciplinary Action section of the Orange County <br />Personnel Ordinance.' <br />BACKGROUND: As part of the planned process of reviewing and <br />updating the Orange County Personnel Ordinance, the <br />Personnel Department has completed a comprehensive <br />review of the Disciplinary Action section of the <br />Ordinance. As a result of this review, Personnel has <br />developed the draft Disciplinary Action section <br />revision provided as Attachment 1. The current <br />Disciplinary Action section of the Ordinance is <br />provided as Attachment 2 along with the remainder of <br />Article IX. Attachment 3 i a draft revision to <br />Sections 8 and 10 of Article�IlI of the Ordinance to <br />coordinate these sections with,`the revised <br />Disciplinary Action section. <br />The process of developing the revised draft has <br />included review by department heads and by members of <br />the Employee Relations Consortium. In addition, the <br />draft has been reviewed by the County Attorney and <br />Institute of Government staff. <br />
