FA <br />HOSPITAL RESPONSIBILITIES <br />1. To notify Orange Central Communications of the need for <br />transportation services and any case - specific requirements <br />associated with those services. <br />2. As supplier to its patients of the transportation <br />services, to make all claims and be responsible for all <br />correspondence and communication related to insurance <br />reimbursement and Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement under the <br />Medicare program. <br />3. To pay THE COUNTY for the transportation services <br />provided to it at the rate of $50.00 plus $2.00 per loaded mile <br />for each transportation service requested. THE HOSPITAL agrees <br />to pay THE COUNTY invoices for transportation services within 15 <br />days of the receipt of invoice. THE HOSPITAL shall remit its <br />payment for transportation services invoices to: <br />The Orange County Department of Revenue <br />Post Office Box 8181 <br />Hillsborough, North Carolina 27278 <br />Attention: John Horner <br />COUNTY RESPONSIBILITIES <br />1. To respond to requests for transportation services <br />requested by THE HOSPITAL according to a protocol to be contained <br />in a letter or exchange of letters between THE HOSPITAL and <br />Orange County Emergency Services. <br />2 <br />
