6o <br />RECOMMENDATION: Section VII -D of the Subdivision Regulations requires <br />that the Board of Commissioners and the Planning Board <br />hear proposals to amend the ordinance at the quarterly <br />public hearing. There is no time limit within which a <br />proposed amendment must be heard. <br />Planning Staff Recommendation <br />The proposed amendment was initiated and developed by <br />the Planning Staff. The Planning Staff recommends <br />approval of the proposed amendment. <br />No decision on the proposal is made by either the <br />Planning Board or Board of Commissioners at the public <br />hearing. Instead,.the Planning Board must prepare and <br />submit a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners. <br />The Planning Board recommendation must be submitted to <br />the Board of Commissioners within 75 days following <br />the public hearing date. It is the general practice <br />of the Planning Department to present the proposal to <br />the Planning Board at its first regular meeting after <br />the public hearing, and to present the Planning Board <br />recommendation to the Board of Commissioners at the <br />first meeting thereafter. <br />Administration Recommendation <br />The Administration recommends that the proposal be <br />referred to the Planning Board for a recommendation to <br />be returned to the Board of Commissioners no sooner <br />than January 6, 1992. <br />
