The proposed amendment <br />would clarify when a change could be approved by the Zoning <br />Officer and when Board of Adjustment approval would be required. <br />In many cases minor changes to approved large day care homes may <br />comply with the standards for evaluation that are specified in <br />Section 6.27.2 of the Zoning Ordinance. The proposed amendment <br />would allow minor changes that comply with requirements in the <br />Zoning Ordinance to be approved by the Zoning Officer. All <br />changes that do not comply with large day care home requirements <br />will require approval of the Orange County Board of Adjustment. <br />EXISTING ORDINANCE PROVISIONS AND PROPOSED AMENDMENT: <br />6.27.3 Larcre Day Care Home - A22lication Procedure <br />No large day care home may be operated in a residence <br />except as permitted under this Ordinance and only after <br />approval has been issued by the Zoning Officer. <br />An application for a large day care home shall be filed <br />with the Zoning Officer and shall be submitted on forms <br />provided by the Zoning Officer.
