The first grant, <br />totalling $1,500, is a local government challenge <br />grant which will enable the Arts Commission to further <br />support the arts in Orange County. The second grant, <br />totalling, $16,263, is a grassroots grant. This grant <br />will allow the Arts Commission to provide sub - grants <br />to various organizations throughout the County as they <br />promote art programs for citizens. <br />(2) On November 5, 1991, the Orange County Board of <br />Commissioners allocated funds to assist Cabarrus <br />County with its legal costs in the case concerning Tax <br />Management Associates and Philip Morris. The Board <br />decided to appropriate $1,408 from the Contingency <br />account. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): <br />The Manager recommends that the Board approve the attached <br />amendments to the 1991 -92 Budget Ordinance. <br />
