Receiving and reviewing OJT invoices for completeness and <br />accuracy; <br />b. In counties in which OSS enters into a contract with an <br />employer, the JOBS social worker must monitor the OJT contract <br />to see that the employer is following the provisions of the <br />agreement; <br />C. Coordinating with other.programs to maximize available <br />community resources for JOBS participants while avoiding <br />duplication of services. <br />9. When OJT is included in the individual's ]employment Plan, <br />participation is required until there is a change in the Plan. <br />10. Supportive services are provided to participants in OJT as needed <br />and available,to support participation in OJT. <br />11. A participant's progress must be monitored on a regular basis to <br />ensure that he /she is meeting the employer's expectations. <br />Although the definition of "satisfactory progress" has not yet been <br />developed, an assessment of a participant's progress is needed in <br />order to determine if continuation in the component and the <br />provision of services to support OJT are indicated. Documentation <br />of monitoring the participant's progress must be made in the case <br />record. <br />E. OJT AMIGOS <br />I. OJT assignments must bit related to the capability of the <br />Participant to perform the task(s) on a regular basis. Factors to <br />be considered include, at a minimum: physical capacity, skills, <br />experience, family responsibilities, and place of residence. <br />2. OJT participants cannot be assigned to placements that require they <br />travel unreasonable distances from their homes (unreasonable is <br />defined as two hours per day, unless local commuting standards are <br />greater) or remain away from their homes overnight without their <br />consent. <br />3. The conditions of participation in OJT must be reasonable, taking <br />into account the ability of the participant and the availability cf <br />child care and other supportive services needs. <br />4. Parti -cipants are subject to the some health and safety standards <br />established under State and Federal law that otherwise apply to <br />other individuals in similar assignments. <br />04 =-! <br />
