10; <br />III. System Functional Elements <br />The preliminary design for the integrated CAD /GIS system <br />consists of nine major elements. <br />A. Dispatcher Console Workstations and Network <br />Each of the five dispatcher workstations installed at the EOC <br />will have a large screen color graphics workstation used for <br />all E911, CAD and GIS display functions. These workstations <br />will have an industry standard CPU and multitasking operating <br />system and will be capable of standalone operation. The <br />dispatcher user interface will use an industry standard <br />windows environment which can be operated using mouse, <br />function key or keyboard entry methods. The console <br />workstations will b4! integrated'in an Ethernet network <br />environment within the EOC and for communication with other <br />systems involved in the CAD /GIS system. <br />A spare workstation will be included in the EOC dispatcher <br />workstation network to allow for quick full or partial <br />workstation replacement by trained EOC personnel.
