Union Street <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />Dear Ms. Eidenier: <br />45 <br />I have received a copy of Jim Davis' letter concerning <br />our application for a bed and breakfast permit for Green Hill. <br />I would like to address some of his concerns. <br />The location of the driveway has been there since 1975 <br />(when the house was moved to its present location). <br />The only change we made was to concrete the driveway. <br />The sign "Green Hill" was in place when we purchased <br />the house in November of 1989. No alteration has <br />been made to the sign or its location. The lights <br />have also been in place since 1989 and no mention <br />has ever been made to us about them being distracting. <br />The second gravel driveway is on our property line <br />adjoining James Lane's property. This driveway is <br />located 235 feet from the intersection of Highway 70. <br />We do not see its location as being dangerous to the <br />public. <br />Mr. Davis' property and ours adjoin in the upper <br />left corner by only 99.73 feet. See attached map. <br />If we were given approval for the permit, the <br />worst case scenaro would be 3 additional cars entering and <br />exiting the property.
