[9 <br />In this vein, Orange County offers its requests and comments on the <br />adopted State rules and preliminary watershed classifications as <br />follows: <br />Recommended Water suDlD2y—w4lershaiLglassificwtions <br />Back Creek Watershed: Orange County requests a change in <br />classification to WS -3 from the proposed <br />WS -2. The WS -3 classification is <br />consistent with protection measures being <br />requested by other jurisdictions, <br />including those using water from this <br />supply. <br />Cane Creep Watershed: <br />Orange County agrees with the <br />classification of WS -2 <br />Flat River: <br />Orange County agrees with the <br />classification of Ws -2 <br />Haw Creek: <br />Orange County agrees with the <br />classification of WS -2 <br />Haw River: <br />Orange County agrees with the <br />classification of WS -4 <br />South Hyco Creek: <br />Orange County recommends change in <br />classification to WS -3 from WS -2. The WS -3 <br />classification is more consistent with <br />classifications requested by other <br />jurisdictions, including those using this <br />water supply. <br />Jordan Lake: <br />Orange County agrees with the <br />classification of WS -4. <br />Little River: <br />Orange County agrees with the <br />classification of WS -2. <br />University Lake: <br />Orange County agrees with the <br />(Morgan Creek) <br />classification of WS -2, and further <br />recommends designation of this watershed <br />as a CRITICAL WATERSHED (CW). <br />Eno River Basin: <br />Orange County requests that this basin be <br />separated into three sub - basins, <br />consistent with long- adopted local actions <br />and policies regarding water supplies in <br />this basin. <br />The first sub- basin, the "Upper Eno", <br />lies upstream of Corporation Lake (intake <br />point 105.0). Orange County recommends <br />that this sub - -basin be upgraded to Ws -2 <br />
