NORTH CARAWN—A. <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE <br />CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT <br />3 <br />THIS CONTRACT, made and entered into this 22ND day <br />of October, 1991, pursuant to approval of the Orange County, North <br />Carolina Board of Commissioners, by and between <br />Custom Stone Masonry, Inc, a corporation with its principal office and <br />place of business in Durham, North Carolina, hereinafter called the <br />Contractor, and the County of Orange, hereinafter called the County. <br />1:p41.4za1 - -)Dy 4IT 1 <br />WHEREAS, the County of Orange duly advertised for bids for <br />construction of Phase Three of the Courthouse Square Project, <br />consisting of the construction of flagstone sidewalks along Court <br />Street and Margaret Lane, and bids were received and duly opened as <br />required by law, and <br />WHEREAS, after a careful consideration of the bid submitted by the <br />Contractor, the Board of Commissioners of the County of Orange have <br />authorized the acceptance of such bid, and the execution, in the name <br />of the County of Orange of a contract with the said Contractor covering <br />construction of Phase Three of the Courthouse Square Project, <br />consisting of the construction of flagstone sidewalks along Court <br />Street and Margaret Lane. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and in further <br />consideration of the mutual agreement contained herein, as well as the <br />financial consideration hereinafter referred to, the parties hereto <br />have contracted and agreed as follows: <br />1. In accordance with the County's specifications and drawings <br />and the Contractor's proposal, copies of which are attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof, the Contractor will construct Phase Three of the <br />Courthouse Square Project, consisting of the construction of flagstone <br />sidewalks along Court Street and Margaret Lane, described in the <br />proposal submitted by the Contractor or in the specifications and <br />drawings attached hereto. <br />2.. The total purchase price for this project in the sum of <br />forty four thousand dollars ($44,000) to be paid to the Contractor by <br />the County in cash according to the terms set forth in the <br />specifications. <br />
