3 <br />At the Planning Board meeting on October 8, 1991, <br />MaryAnne Moore, Recreation and Parks Director, made a <br />presentation describing how recreational facilities <br />are currently funded by Orange County, and how <br />payment -in -lieu funds could be used if the Subdivision <br />Regulations are amended. She stated that money <br />collected from subdividers in lieu of land dedication <br />could only be used to acquire land or to develop a <br />recreational facility, not for operation or <br />maintenance of such a park or facility (see 10/8/91 <br />draft minutes) . <br />The Planning Board voted unanimously to recommend <br />approval of the proposed amendment to Section IV -B -7- <br />b-6 of the Subdivision Regulations. <br />RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends approval of the proposed <br />amendment to Section IV- B -7 -b -6 of the Subdivision <br />Regulations. <br />
