N <br />NEXT STEPS IN THE PROCESS <br />Data Collection: <br />Obtain information concerning archeological <br />surveys, biological investigations, floodplain <br />boundaries, historical surveys, study area <br />photographs, water resources data, wetlands <br />locations, land use, community facilities, etc. <br />Inventory of Planning Issues: <br />Identify previous project issues, current local <br />planning issues for. the study area, and anticipated <br />future issues based on growth projections. <br />Document Community Concerns: <br />Identify community concerns within the study area <br />through public workshops, project comment sheets, <br />questionnaires, and small group meetings. <br />1� <br />Transportation Needs Study: <br />Identify existing and future transportation needs in <br />the study area based on existing and projected <br />development and travel demand. <br />Alternatives Identification: <br />Develop and evaluate preliminary alignments for the <br />proposed project.
