Discharge systems - These systems are designed to treat <br />wastewater in a variety of manners. The treated <br />wastewater is disinfected and discharged to a flowing <br />stream for disposal. The main systems in this category <br />are package treatment plants and subsurface sand filter. <br />These systems require an engineer's design. <br />Septage - A fluid mixture of partially treated sewage <br />solids, liquids, and sludge of human or domestic waste origin <br />pumped from septic tanks or grease traps, privies. <br />Sludge - Any solid or semi -solid waste generated from a <br />wastewater treatment plant or a water supply treatment plant. <br />Upkeep Agreement - An agreement similar to the maintenance <br />agreement that addresses the upkeep of the system and <br />vegetative cover for the disposal field area. This agreement <br />would also address the accessibility of the system components <br />for inspection. <br />
