12- <br />Attachment 5 <br />Draft Advertisement* <br />CHAPEL HILL /ORANGE COUNTY <br />VISITOR BUREAU DIRECTOR <br />Description: The newly formed Chapel Hill /Orange County <br />Visitor Bureau is seeking a Director. The <br />Director is responsible for providing <br />leadership, organization and coordination for <br />visitor services in Orange County. Duties <br />include assessing the needs; recommending <br />initiatives to attract visitors; implementing <br />programs to promote effective visitor services; <br />providing liaison among visitor service <br />providers; and serving as a spokesperson for <br />visitor services. <br />Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business or public <br />administration, hotel /motel management, sales, <br />marketing or related field and four years <br />professional level experience in hospitality, <br />tourism or visitor services program management, <br />including responsibility for program <br />development, marketing and budgeting. <br />Salary Range: $29,000 - $42,000. <br />Closing Date: (date) <br />Apply To: Orange County'Personnel Department <br />PO Box 8181, Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />(919) 732 -8181 Extension 2550 <br />An official County application is required and must be <br />received on or before the closing date.
