n <br />From the Orange County Personnel Ordinance published September 6, 1990. <br />3.0 RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION <br />3.1 Purpose <br />To establish a procedure for recruitment and selection <br />to fill vacancies in all gull -time permanent positions. <br />3.2 policy <br />Orange County is an 7-cual Opportunity /Affirmative <br />Action Employer. It is the policy of Orange County to <br />ensure that recruitment and selection for all full - <br />time permanent positions is centralized and /or <br />coordinated through the Personnel Department to <br />guarantee Eaual employment Opportunity to all persons <br />without regard to race, creed, Color, sex, national <br />origin, age, religion, mental or physical handicap, <br />labor affiliation or any other factors not related <br />to merit and fitness for the position. In accordance <br />with the law, the County has adopted an Affirmative <br />Action Plan governing minorities, women and the <br />handicapped. <br />
