4 <br />Employment Act of 1967, the Rehabilitation Act of <br />1973, the Vietnam Era Veteran's Readjustment Act <br />of 1974, Sections 126 -16 and 126 -17 of the North <br />Carolina General Statutes and other applicable <br />Federal and State laws. <br />1.4 Prohibition of Retaliatory Action <br />The County prohibits retaliatory action against <br />(NEW) any employee or applicant for employment who makes <br />a charge of employment discrimination, testifies, <br />assists or participates in any manner at a <br />hearing, proceeding, or investigation of <br />employment discrimination. <br />
