The Certificate of Achievement is <br /> generally acknowledged as the highest form of recognition in the area of <br /> governmental accounting and financial reporting and its attainment <br /> represents a significant accomplishment by an entity and its management. <br /> Orange County has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement each year <br /> since 1982. Each year the eligibility standards for the award become more <br /> stringent. The finance staff is to be commended for their ability to <br /> consistently meet the high standards reflected by this award. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : The Manager recommends that Ken Chavious and his <br /> Finance staff be recognized for their accomplishments in being awarded the <br /> GFOA Certificate of Achievement for the year ending 1990. <br />
