7 <br /> r <br /> DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL SERVICES <br /> The County Director of Social Services or her designee shall : <br /> 1 . serve as chair for the team. <br /> 2. appoint Community Child Protection Team members and fill <br /> vacancies as they occur , with the exception of members <br /> designated by the Board of County Commissioners . <br /> 3. assure the development of written procedures for the team <br /> to include composition of membership , frequency of <br /> meetings, confidentiality policies, training of members , <br /> and duties and responsibilities of members . <br /> 4. distribute copies of the written procedures to the <br /> administrator of all agencies represented on the team as <br /> well as to each team member . <br /> 5 . assure the team defines the categories of cases that will <br /> be subject to review by the team and , to identify from <br /> among those cases subject to review, which ones will be <br /> presented . <br /> 6. determine the cases in these categories on which she will <br /> initiate a review and bring for review any case requested <br /> by a team member . <br /> 7. report quarterly to the County Board of Social Services , <br /> or as required by the board , on the activities of the <br /> team. <br /> COMPOSITION OF THE TEAM <br /> The Director of the Orange County Department of Social <br /> Services and designated members of her staff shall <br /> participate as members of the team. The Director will invite <br /> representatives from the following organizations to <br /> participate: <br /> 1 . Local law enforcement <br /> 2. The District Attorney ' s Office <br /> 3. The medical profession <br /> 4. The local community action agency <br /> 5. School personnel <br /> 6 . A county social services board member <br /> 7. A local mental health professional <br /> 8. At their option , county commissioners may designate up to <br /> five representatives to be invited by the County Director <br /> of Social Services . <br />
