127 <br />PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br />ORDINANCE: ZONING ORDINANCE <br />REFERENCE: SECTION S25, PERMITTED USE TABLE <br />(MOTOR VEHICLE SALES RENTAL - NEW & USED) <br />ORIGIN OF AMENDMENT: Staff Planning Board <br />BOCC x Public <br />Other: <br />STAFF PRIORITY RECOMMENDATION: x High Middle Low <br />Comment: <br />EXPECTED PUBLIC HEARING DATE: August 26, 1991 <br />PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT: <br />To change the Permitted Use Table to allow auto sales in <br />industrial districts. <br />IMPACTS /ISSUES: <br />A citizen made a request to allow a specific parcel of land <br />located within an industrial district to be operated as a car <br />sales business. The change would result in permitting a use <br />of lesser intensity than is now associated with the district. <br />A poll was taken of surrounding counties to determine if they <br />allowed this use within their industrial districts. Of the <br />counties contacted 3 allowed auto sales in most or all <br />industrial districts, while only 1 did not allow the use in <br />any industrial district.
