Car sales are <br />currently not permitted in any industrial district. <br />The Orange County Economic Development Commission has <br />been contacted and are not opposed to the request. <br />A poll was taken of four adjacent counties to <br />determine if this use was allowed within their <br />industrial districts. Of the counties contacted 2 <br />allowed auto sales in all industrial districts, 1 in <br />the Light (I -1) and Medium (I -2) Industrial Districts <br />only and 1 does not allow the use in their industrial <br />districts. <br />The proposed amendment which would allow car sales <br />within all industrial districts (EI, I1, 12, 13) will <br />be presented for public hearing on August 26, 1991. <br />RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Staff recommends approval of the proposed <br />amendment. <br />125 <br />
