(C) <br />STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROPERTY AND OF THE <br />APPROPRIATENESS AND CHARACTER ENHANCEMENT WH 10-1 <br />SUPPORTS APPROVAL OF USE OF THE PROPERTY AS BED AND <br />BREAKFAST FACILITY <br />THE INITIAL REST'ORAT I ON <br />AP'PROXIMAT'ELY CS YEARS AGO BY <br />COMAN. AT THAT TIME,THE HOUSE <br />- WAS LITERALLY SAVED FROM <br />SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TO THE <br />SOME DRAMATIC CHANGES IN THEIR <br />COMAN VACATED THE PROPERTY. <br />APPROXIMATELY THREE (=) YEARS. <br />OF THIS PROPERTY WAS UNDERTAKEN <br />THE PREVIOUS OWNERS, MR. AND MRS. <br />- PART OF WHICH DATES TO THE 1 7tO S <br />DESTRUCTION. AFTER THIS VERY <br />COMMUNITY, WITH ADVANCING AGE AND <br />PERSONAL SITUATION, MR. AND MFRS. <br />IT LANGUISHED ON THE MARKET FOR <br />IN 19e9, WHEN WE ACQUIRED THE PROPERTY, IT WAS AGAIN ON <br />THE VERGE OF SERIOUS DECAY AND NEGLECT. IT HAD BEEN VACANT FOR <br />MORE MORE THAN TWO YEARS. RESTORING THE PROPERTY HAS SEEN AN <br />EXTENSIVE AND EXPENSIVE UNDERTAKING. WE ARE SEEKING THE SPECIAL_ <br />PERMIT AT THIS TIME TO FURTHER ESTABLISH THIS PROPERTY AS A VITAL <br />PART OF THE COMMUNITY AND TO HELP PROTECT IT FROM EVER AGAIN <br />FALLING INTO AN ABANDONED AND NEGLECTED STATE. WE BELIEVE: <br />ESTABLISHMENT OF THE PROPERTY AS A BED AND BREAKFAST, MAKING IT <br />POSSIBLE TO REALIZE SOME REVENUE TO HELP SUPPORT THE UPKEEP AND <br />MAINTAINANCE OF THE PROPERTY, IS ESSENTIAL TO THE FUTURE <br />PRESERVATION OF THIS PROPERTY. <br />FURTHER, THIS IS A MOST APPROPRIATE USE OF THIS PROPERTY <br />AND IN CHARACTER WITH THIS TYPE OF HISTORICAL ESTATE. THE SIZE <br />AND LAYOUT OF THE STRUCTURE MAKE IT VERY AMENABLE TO USE AS A BED <br />AND BREAKFAST. THE SIZE OF THE LOT (6.46 ACRES) MAKE IT POSSIBLE <br />TO ACCOMMODATE PATRONS OF A BED AND BREAKFAST WITHOUT IMPACTING <br />NEGATIVEL4 UPON THE NEIGHBORHOOD OR AREA TRAFFIC.
