Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, on August 26, 1920, the 19th Amendment to the <br />Constitution of the United States was ratified; and <br />WHEREAS, that amendment reads as follows: <br />"The right of citizens of the Unites States..to vote <br />shall not be denied or abridged by the United States <br />or by any state on account of sex.
