The Pharmacy contract will provide consultant pharmacy services, as required by the State, to insure that our dispensing pharmacy functions according to State law and regulations. The Family Medicine contract provides the services of a faculty member to provide part -time medical director and clinical services. BACKGROUND: Both of the attached contracts are renewals of agreements that have been on- -going for four (4) years. The terms, duties, and dollar amount for the pharmacy contract remain unchanged. The scope of the Family Medicine contract has enlarged slightly to incorporate the responsibilities for the Child Health Clinic which were formerly undertaken by the Department of Pediatrics. The latter could no longer fulfill that responsibility. However, the Department of Pediatrics has continued to provide medical services to the Adolescent Clinic. The funds necessary for both of these contracts are included within the approved budget for FY 91 -92. RECOMMENDATION(S): The County Manager recommends that both contracts be approved and the Chair authorized to sign.
