The Family <br />Medicine contract provides the services of a faculty member to <br />provide part -time medical director and clinical services. <br />BACKGROUND: Both of the attached contracts are renewals of agreements that <br />have been on- -going for four (4) years. The terms, duties, and <br />dollar amount for the pharmacy contract remain unchanged. The <br />scope of the Family Medicine contract has enlarged slightly to <br />incorporate the responsibilities for the Child Health Clinic which <br />were formerly undertaken by the Department of Pediatrics. The <br />latter could no longer fulfill that responsibility. However, the <br />Department of Pediatrics has continued to provide medical services <br />to the Adolescent Clinic. <br />The funds necessary for both of these contracts are included <br />within the approved budget for FY 91 -92. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The County Manager recommends that both contracts be <br />approved and the Chair authorized to sign. <br />
