The applicant is requesting <br />a designation of Local Commercial. The purpose of an <br />LC -1 district is to allow limited commercial uses <br />designed to serve a population at the rural and <br />neighborhood level with convenience goods and <br />personal services. <br />The surrounding land on the north and west is zoned <br />AR, but undeveloped; to the south and east are <br />commercial uses. The area is designated in the <br />Comprehensive Plan as the BH -1 Rural Neighborhood <br />
